Serving Central Alberta Since 2001

Case Study: The City of Red Deer (Population est 106,000)

In 2001, the growing region of Central Alberta (est. population 240, 368) saw the regional economy growing jobs across sectors like mining, construction, agriculture and manufacturing.

City workers were being asked more frequently, “How can we fill truckloads of water, safely and efficiently to local work-sites?”
With limited resources, Red Deer city officials were under pressure to support local workers and the local economy, without compromising public water services or their finite budget.

Water Worx began as a pilot project, built by water haulers for water haulers, and now has made over 20 years of successful business partnerships.

Water Worx took the burdens off the local public sector while returning wholesale water revenues to the City and the community.
